Hey there and welcome to Food & Soul.
If you’re looking for delicious, healthy recipes and food inspiration, honest, holistic nutrition advice with no fluff, and a website with no annoying adverts, then you my friend have made it to the right corner of the internet. Whoop whoop!
I guess before we go any further, I should introduce myself properly…
Hello, I’m Becky, founder of Food & Soul.
Some people may know me from my fitness days – I used to be a personal trainer, so if we’ve met before, there’s a pretty good chance you did burpees with me (in which case, ‘high five!’)
Nowadays, even though I’m still very much a gym bunny, you’re more likely to find me in the kitchen cooking up a storm and sharing my healthy creations right here on this site.
I started Food & Soul because I want to help people enjoy making and eating healthy food just as much as I do.
I want to show you that it doesn’t have to be boring or bland – seriously, life is way too short to eat just boiled broccoli and chicken every day.
And neither does it have to be complicated or stressful – I promise you, I’m no gourmet chef and not every meal I make is an Instagram worthy spectacle!
BUT I have figured out the magic formula for making delicious, healthy food and meal prepping a more fun, quick and easy process, and I can’t wait to share it with you right here.
You’ll find that each of the recipes on the site are my own loving creation, and all of them are 100% healthy, using whole food, fresh and natural ingredients.
I take inspiration from leafing through old classic cookery books and I love trying to recreate everyones favourite dishes, tweaking things here and there to make them just that little bit healthier and more waistline friendly.
You’ll also find that the nutrition advice I share is based on fact, and not just my opinion.
I’m a qualified Nutritional Therapist, and over the last 10 years I’ve worked with hundreds of clients to help them achieve better eating habits and improve their, so trust me when I say I know how confusing and contradictory the nutrition advice is that circulates on the big bad web.
The last thing you need is to hear yet more pseudo-science or follow another extreme weight-loss diet. I promise you won’t find any of that here.
So I guess all that’s left for me to say, is a big huge thank you for stopping by.
I know there are a bazillion and one other food blogs that you can follow, and so I want you to know I really appreciate you being here.
I hope you enjoy the recipes I share, and I hope I can help you to discover that eating healthy can be fun, easy and totally doable.
Let’s get cooking!
